We are the voice for sportsmen & sportswomen of Wyoming – advocating on their behalf for healthy, intact, & fully functioning ecosystems; & safeguarding access to outdoor opportunities while finding common ground to ensure the consistent application of science-based management policies. Scope of the Role

The Outreach Coordinator works with the Executive Director & Communications Director regarding outreach, communication assistance/support, membership relations, supporter engagement, & administration. The position will include donor & potential donor communication, organizing events, & coordinating volunteers, & managing Conservation Ambassadors. It will also include working with staff to share the growing story of natural resource conservation in Wyoming.

This is a permanent, full-time position. The Outreach Coordinator is responsible for the conduct of business in accordance with the Federation’s mission statement, policy, procedures, position statements & resolutions. The position will involve occasional travel & has a flexible schedule that will sometimes include night or weekend work. The Outreach Coordinator is supervised by the Executive Director.

This position is based in Lander, Wyoming.


Volunteer Coordination – 50%

  • Aid in promoting, expanding, & improving Wyoming Wildlife Federation’s volunteer-member relationships
  • Coordinate, organize, and communicate regularly with our Conservation Ambassadors
  • Assist with the recruitment & organization of volunteers for habitat projects, local events, advocacy, & other program-related activities

Membership Services – 25%

  • Answer office phone
  • Manage contact databases & lists including updating membership & supporter information
  • Aid Communications Director with website & social media communication
  • Complete donor appreciation tasks such as thank you notes
  • Assist in relationship building & coordination of the major donor program

Event planning – 25% 

  • Manage event logistics
  • Create & manage partnerships for events
  • Create & manage outreach & advertising
  • Coordinate staff participation in event planning & at the event
  • Build & maintain business partnerships/relationships for donations & event sponsorships
