The Communication Manager plays a key role on a dynamic team of talented individuals committed to Wyoming’s legacy of conservation, working closely with the Executive Director to implement the Wyoming Wildlife Federation’s (WWF’s) communication plan.

Salary Range: $45,000 - $53,000 (Depending on Experience)
Work Schedule: Full Time/40 hours per week; Flexible Work Schedule; Some Evenings, Weekends, and Overtime
Scope
The Communication Manager (CM) develops content and marketing to advance WWF’s mission and increase public awareness and engagement. The CM works with WWF staff to strategize, plan, coordinate, and execute communication activities. This position will create and execute a calendar-based annual communication plan. The CM disseminates program work to increase program visibility, fundraisers, and events. Additionally, the Communication Manager is the caretaker of the Wyoming Wildlife Federation brand identity and designs visual elements of communications.
Primary Duties
- Strategize, plan, and execute the annual Communication’s Plan
- Manage the Wyomingwildlife.org website
- Coordinate and execute regular social media postings
- Create and distribute regular email campaigns
- Communicate with the press, write and distribute press releases
- Coordinate and/or design promotional materials (e.g. flyers, brochures, stickers, etc.)
- Maintain the merchandise website at shop.wyomingwildlife.org
- Manage merchandise inventory and bring in new designs for WWF apparel
- Utilize the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to analyze and build campaigns garnering donations, advocacy, and event attendance
- Consistently maintains videography and photography to communicate WWF’s campaigns
- Meet regularly with all members of the WWF team to stay up to date with programmatic and fundraising communications needs
- Serve as a liaison between industry relationships and WWF events, fundraising opportunities, and programmatic needs
- Shared duty as a liaison between businesses and WWF
Desired Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will have the majority of the following qualifications and the ability to attain proficiency in the remainder of the probationary year.
- College degree
- Three years of relevant experience and/or three years of communications experience conducting at least 60% of the job duties described in related industries
- Successful campaign execution experience
- Knowledge of digital marketing best practices
- Proficiency in common website managing services
- Aptitude for social media engagement and account management
- Strong copywriting skills
- Experience using databases and CRM systems
- Organizational skills to plan and execute tasks to achieve goals
- Aptitude for computers, computer software, and other types of office equipment
- The ability to self-motivate with the drive to initiate the Communications Program with limited supervision
- Active leadership qualities
- An understanding of hunting, angling, conservation, public lands, and wildlife issues in Wyoming
Travel & Schedule
- Travel around Wyoming is expected 2-5 days per month
- Applicants must provide self-transportation to and from commitments spanning the state of Wyoming
- Monday to Friday schedule recommended
- Weekends will be required as needed

Travel & Schedule
Compensation and benefits for the Communications Manager include a salary range of $45,000 to $53,000. After a 3-month probationary period the following benefits will include a health care stipend offered on an individual basis, accrued 3+ weeks/18 days vacation, accrued two+ weeks/12 days sick leave, eleven (11) paid holidays, paid time off the week between Christmas and New Year’s, one week paid time off for a hunting/angling outing, and if an employee needs help packing out their harvested animal, you are encouraged to aid them.
