More than Gatherers is not your average hunter's education course.
More Than Gatherers is a fully immersive experience over two weekends that will include a full certification in hunter education (including rifle handling), and a deep dive into hunting skills, philosophies, conservation of wildlife, community building, and food.
This is a safe space to be a beginner, a curious learner, and a member of an ever-growing community of women who have picked up hunting in their adult years. This experience is planned and taught by an all-female cast from around the state; some of them seasoned hunters and some of them brand new.
By the end of this course, you will not know everything about hunting, but you will:

More than Gatherers takes place over the course of two weekends, and in order to get the full experience we ask that participants plan to take part in both weekends.
Participants must be 21+ to take part in More than Gatherers.
What To Expect
- 6+ hours of pre-requisite training (completed by August 1st)
- Safe and welcoming environment for beginners and hunter-curious folks
- Long days full of leanring
- Cooking demonstrations
- An afternoon learning about horsepacking
- New friends and hunt-related comradarie
Things of note
- Online hunter's ed must be taken prior to the first weekend — we have a lot to cover and utilize the online platform to get the basics down
- Participants must be over 21 years of age
- Participants must be able to participate in both weekends - space is limited and we want to ensure that folks who are signing up can enjoy the full experience
