Build a snowman
Time: 20-30 minutes
Materials: None
Activity: Find an open area with good packing snow. Show kids how to roll snowballs and encourage them to create snowmen that are three balls high. Observe that the balls need to get smaller as they go up to make the snowman stable. Add found objects to create faces and arms. Play with your tiny snowman troop. Math bonus: measure your snow balls or your snowmen.
