Going on a Bear Hunt
Time: 20-30 minutes
Materials: book-We’re Going on a Bear Hunt
Activity: Read the book We’re Going on a Bear Hunt in the classroom. Take the book with you to a natural area that has a variety of environments (tall grass, trees, playground equipment, etc). Go step by step through the book, deciding where you will need to go “through” and pretending to be part of the bear hunt as you go. Once you encounter the “bear”, work backwards through all of your obstacles/areas along with the book.
