Kids in Lander created the following exhibition as part of a week-long arts and ecology camp. The kids visited riparian (river), forest, and sagebrush ecosystems and created art inspired by their experiences and by how the history of art, ecology, and conservation are connected. Did you know that the painter Moran played a key role in the creation of Yellowstone? In this collaboration between the Lander Arts Center and Wyoming Wildlife Federation, campers learned that and much more. The kids show us in their art what they saw as the important pieces of our Wyoming ecosystems.

Thank you to the Wyoming Humanities Council for supporting this program.

What inspires my artwork is nature and wildlife. I like making art because my mom does art. I want people seeing this show to know that nature is colorful and fun. My favorite part about this class is the hiking and making art.
