Make a nest
Time: 10-40 minutes
Materials: none
Activity: “Where do birds lay their eggs?” Most birds make some kind of nest to help hold and protect their eggs. They can make nests out of lots of things like sticks, plants, rocks, and mud. “What do you think makes a good nest?” Have kids make their nests using materials that they find around the outdoor space. Once the nests are done you can do a tour of the nests as a class and/or use the nests for imaginative play as pretend birds.
