Why Show Up
Public meetings are vital in showing support or opposition to topics of public interest. They also provide an opportunity to help shape public opinion around specific issues. If the public doesn’t show up, the public could lose out.
Local Support on Local Issues
Local decision makers are at these meetings and many times there are local press outlets in the room. These meetings again are an opportunity to cultivate a local voice on the issues at hand. By showing up those decision makers will know local people care about and support big game habitat conservation.
In short, The Wyoming Wildlife Federation supports the WGFD and wants to see the agency continue its progress towards statewide migration protections. If you value Wyoming’s big game herds, want to learn about the Wyoming Game and Fish Migration Strategy, and are inspired to give public comment, plan on attending one of these public meetings near you.
