This weekend we partnered with USFS, RMEF, Bowhunters of Wyoming to pull out some old fencing from the top of Torrey Rim outside of Dubois. A group of 9 awesome staff and volunteers spent the day hiking into the fenceline, pulling the rusty barbed wire fence, coiling it up, and hauling it out. The fence was in line with winter habitat for the Whiskey Mountain bighorn sheep herd as well as mule deer habitat — the removal will benefit not just those species but other critters as well!
Next up on our habitat project list is the Strawberry Creek Zeedyk build days that is being organized by the BLM. We'll be sending more details out about that project shortly!
