Ice proprioception
Time: 5-15 minutes
Materials: ice cubes made with food coloring
Activity: Use your ice to build body awareness. Jump and smash. Throw or jump on your ice to smash it. Ice drawing. Use your cube on the pavement or sidewalk to create a drawing. Ice races. On a warmer day, find a smooth surface for your ice to slide down and use slightly melty ice cubes and straws to race down the course. Art bonus: During a time when there are a lot of freeze/thaw cycles, place leftover ice at the top of a white area and note the patterns it makes as the ice melts and refreezes as it drips down the white space.
