June 25th Volunteer Day/Wildlife Project and BEER EVENT – Lander, Wyo!
Please join us in wildlife conservation with a volunteer day in the field. The WWF Wildlife Habitat Enhancement Project (Fremont County) is a partnership between WWF, the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation’s Red Canyon Chapter, Bowhunters of Wyoming, and the Lander Art Center. Meet at 8:30 a.m., Saturday, June 25th in the parking lot of Fremont County Library to carpool to the event (see website for additional details).
Back in Lander, that night come celebrate our efforts at a WWF beer fundraising event at the Cowfish in Lander, and in partnership with Lander Brewing. A special brew will be created in our honor of Wyoming’s wildlife.
NAME OUR BEER CONTEST: Take part in this contest by providing a creative wildlife name for our brew, WWF beer on tap! Please email your wildlife beer name to info@wyomingwildlife.org (include your name and phone; deadline June 2). If your beer name is the winner we will use it for the official beer crafted by Lander Brewing and for our statewide marketing. You will also win a WWF gift basket!
WILDLIFE HABITAT PROJECT – ART CONTEST: CALL FOR ARTISTS – Enter up to two entries per individual, submit the high-quality digital image of each entry to director@landerartcenter.com. Deadline for submissions is May 20. The award includes $250 to the winning artist. All mediums accepted, Wyoming flora and fauna; landscapes and wild animal imagery encouraged. This art contest is in partnership with the Lander Art Center. The 2016 winner and artwork will be used for the banner and flyer for the beer event, along with WWF statewide promotional materials, including 500+ contact mailings, WWF postcard, poster, banner, website, and social media.
