Outdoor yoga

Time: 10-20 minutes

Materials: None

Activity: Familiarize yourself with a few basic yoga poses (e.g. mountain, downward dog, butterfly, child’s pose, warrior poses, cat/cow, cobra). Find a soft grassy spot and lead kids in going through the poses. Come up with your own names for the poses based on what animals or objects you think they look like. Let kids create their own poses and take turns leading the yoga class. See if you can link your poses together into a story.
