Bug hunt
Time: 15-20 minutes
Materials: bug field guide (optional), magnifying glasses or jars (optional)
Activity: Go on a bug hunt. Great places to find bugs are on plant stems or leaves, around flowers, under the bark of dead trees or branches, and under rocks. If you have a field guide or magnifying glasses or jars, you can examine your bugs more closely and find out more about them. Remind kids that the goal is to look, not touch. Discuss any observations about the bugs or where they were found.
